Head banger
Can
Alc. 9.5%
I had this beer when went to meet a friend at an event at a bottle shop selling specifically Canadian beer. and while I was there I have bought many a canadian beers to review but this week I would like to talk about the headbanger by strathcona.
So this is the first triple indian pale ale I have ever tried, but visually wise it was not very high with it’s carbonation, there was some (like in all ales) but it was not a lot. but the colour of the beer was a nice golden colour. It was not to bright but not dar too. I quite like to colour, but it is quite a hazy looking beer, even thought it is not a hazy beer!
With the taste, I was actually quite surprised at how sweet it was. Knowing that a IPA usually has bitter notes, this had none, and I guess that what you get with a triple IPA (3x IPA?). It actually is quite quite fruity in the flavour. I do get some sour note hitting the back of my throat. I did taste some melon flavour on the side of my tongue and some acidity in the middle of my tongue.
I actually would recommend this beer, if you ever see it. you do need to be in the mood for a sweet beer, but I really liked this beer. though do be careful when drinking because the alcohol contend is 9.5% which I must admit i didn’t do. If you try this let me know
Remember to drink responsibly
