Otherside - Harvest

So I was out with my girlfriend and her brother celebrating his 18th birthday. So we take him to a restaurant to celebrate. I was looking through the beer list looking for a beer that I have not tried before. When I see the beer Otherside - Harvest and it is a red ale. Now I have not had a lot of red ales, but the ones I have tried I have enjoyed.

Otherside is a craft brewery from Fremantle in Australia and Harvest is part of their core range which consists of 6 different beers.

when I first poured the beer into my glass (it was from a can) it had a very deep amber red colour. When i tasted the beer I found it to be very full bodied but it did not have much b bitterness to the taste, but some of the bitterness does hit the back of my throat. This is a generally sweet beer, bit not super sweet like a cheery beer and I found it was an easy beer to drink. I did find that as the beer started to warm toward room temperature that the bitterness did seem to become more pronounced.

On the whole I found this red ale to be one of my more favoured ales to pick up; so I say that if you find it in your bar or your local bottle shop, is to give it a try and find out for your self what it tastes like.
