Get Down Indian Pale Ale

I have been see this beer in my fridge and it has always catched my eye. It’s defiantly an eye catching design. Well today I have decided to finally review it. So this week I am reviewing* Get Down Pale Ale by Strathcona Beer Company
When I first have a look it looks like hazy IPA, but the packaging definitely says IPA. there in no mention of Hazy IPA anywhere. It is a very light Coloured beer, almost like a pale ale which did surprised me. One thing i did notice immediately was how highly carbonated this beers was. As I write this review I have been seeing bubble rise and pop. So be aware when drinking this beer.
When I take some sniffs I got the smell of citrus and strawberry but when I took my first sip none of those flavours came out. This is definitely not a hazy IPA. It is very heavy on the hops and a lot of bitterness coming through. It is really pronounced at the back of the throat. As I take more sips I am getting some caramel notes in the beer, but only just barely, so its not a major player.
Honestly this is not a beer I would pick up again. The bitterness and the excessive hoppiness sought of ruined it for me. I understand that IPA is supposed to be more hoppy but this was a little overkill for me. but this might be something to your liking. I don’t hate this beer, its just not for me. Am i right or am I wrong. let me know in the comment section
