Kawaba - Amber Ale

I found this beer randomly when I decided to go for a walk. I walked for maybe an hour just listening to some podcasts, when I came across an interesting supermarket. I decided to look in and thats were I spotted this beer. There are more beers by this brewery but I only got the amber ale. I may go back there and grab the others some day, but this week I will be reviewing: Kawaba - Amber Ale
When I look at this beer it certainly has an amber look to it, but a very dark amber look to it. I have seen other amber ales in the past that look more red than amber. I feel like this one got the colour right. At first when I initially looked I thought that there was really no carbonation, but when you look closely you can see the many tiny bubbles coming up.
When I went to taste this beer the initially smell I got was floral. So preparing myself for a floral tasting beer I was surprised that I tasted some subtle citrus notes and some caramel notes. The subtle citrus notes comes first. I could feel them at the tip on my tongue. Where as the caramel notes hits you more at the back of the pallet. It’s not a very bitter beer, there is a little bitterness that hits the back of your throat but, it is defiantly not a powerful player in the taste department. I do find that mainly the different flavours work together and mix well.
Over all this that is is a good amber ale. I would not hesitate to grab it again if I see it, but I would not walk another hour to grab it. If you do see it I would say give it a try. let me know if you have tried or if you want to try in the comment section. I would love to know your opinions.
