So as it is the season to eat everything that is bad for you. I was looking through my fridge looking at the different beers that I had. I saw a lemon beer, a nice stout but then my eyes fell on this beer and I thought it was the perfect one. So this week I am reviewing Spectrum Beer co.’s Milk Chocolate Ale.
So this when I look at this beer I was sure it was going to be a darker colour because I relate milk chocolate to a darker colour, but with this being an ale and not a stout. It actually has quite a light colour to it. It is a lightest coloured beer that I have had for a while. its colour is almost the colour of a blond beer. a very light yellow coloured ale. There is a fair amount of carbonation with this beer too, not as much as others but a little above average.
When I sniff this beer I get the smell of an alcoholic milk chocolate drink. I’ts bizarre as it looks just like a normal beer to me. When I am tasing this beer. I definitely can taste the milk chocolate flavour in this ale. Though it is not a very strong flavour. I actually think it is the right amount of strength for the flavour, because it doesn't overpower the other flavours. On top of the milk chocolate flavour I also get a nice sweet and sour combination going on. All these flavours surround my mouth as I can pinpoint certain areas where I can experience the specific flavour as I have with other beers.
In conclusion, I feel like this is an excellent beer. The lable does not lie, it is a milk chocolate ale. With all the different flavours this has, I would pick it up again. I feel like this would be a nice refreshing beer, that would work well in summer. Are you interested in this beer, or have you tried this beer before? Let me know in the comment section down below.
